We are a family who happened to fall in love with coffee — and refused to settle once we did.
GSON ATELIER began the way most honest things do — inside a family, around a kitchen table, disagreeing about what made a good cup of coffee. We never fully agreed. We still don't. What we agreed on instead was the standard: nothing goes on this shelf that we wouldn't serve each other.
We looked at far more roasteries than the two we chose. Gringo Nordic and Pennybridge were not the easiest partners to work with — they simply cared as much as we did about the difference between good and exceptional. We turned down more than we accepted.
We don't believe luxury needs to raise its voice. It shows up in small, unglamorous decisions — a roast date printed honestly, a batch size that isn't inflated, a refund given without an argument. That's the whole philosophy, really.
